Our Favorite Gear

I am always intrigued and love reading about other people’s gear set ups! Thought we would share a few of our faves here. None of the below is sponsored, just the things we love for hitting the trails:

For Me:

I got this one at the beginning of summer, when I needed to up the amount of water I was carrying. It holds everything we need for a long day out, and is super comfortable! Also, it has SO MANY POCKETS!

After trying a few others, I went all in on a pair of Danners, and have no regrets. On their first day out, I went 8 miles with no pain or blisters. These are waterproof and super light, too.

I am beyond obsessed with these socks and have gifted them to so many people! They are the perfect weight, I also wear their running socks. They are made in Vermont, and have the

cutest designs!

For Oban:

Oban is always hot, and for our summer hikes this is essential! I soak it before we leave home, and then either wet it on the trail if there is a stream, or I bring a water bottle to squirt it down if there isn’t water nearby. I also love how well it washes! Oban finds all the mud he can, and this come out of the wash clean every time.

I own two of these and love them! Also wash clean, and I like the flexibility of attaching his leash to either the front or back of the harness

Of all my impulse Amazon purchases, this is by far the best and most used one. It’s leak proof, and sucks back down any remaining water in the bowl. Ours has lasted well over a year, and still going strong. Honestly, this is probably the best dog thing I have ever purchased.

This small brand is all hand made, you can customize your color combos, and it’s family owned! All the dirt washes off with some soap and water, and everything is so durable! When Oban is off leash, I love having the traffic lead attached to his harness so I can grab him quickly if needed. We also use their 5way leash for running so I can be hands free.
